Colleen’s responsibilities include that of Asset Manager for NHT-E’s growing portfolio of affordable housing as well as technical assistance and training to specific co-operative housing developments in the District of Columbia.  Colleen will also provide assistance with resident services programs.

A recent transplant to the DC area, Colleen’s most recent experience was in affordable housing management with both operational and compliance related responsibilities for a multi-state portfolio of low income housing tax credit, Rural Development, Section 8 and bond financed senior and multi-family communities. Prior to that Colleen was an Asset Manager for Volunteers of America (VOA) with owner oversight for a nationwide portfolio of multi-family housing as well as responsibility for VOA affiliate relations.

Colleen also has over 15 years of professional experience with Peabody and Arnold in Boston, MA, and Nixon Peabody, LLP in both the Boston and Washington, DC offices providing support to the syndication and corporate finance departments as well as tenure as the firmwide administrator for Paralegal and Technical Specialist Services.  Colleen also taught Legal Research and Writing as well as Legal Ethics for over 12 years at Northeastern University in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies achieving the Outstanding Instructor of the Year Award.  She is also a trained mediator through the MA Attorney General’s Office and the Kennedy School of Government Dispute Resolution Center.

When not at her desk Colleen can be found kayaking the waterways of the Chesapeake Bay.
