What We Do

The National Housing Trust is vitally engaged in federal and state preservation policy debates. Our activities include:

• Persuading policymakers to dedicate resources towards the revitalization of existing affordable homes;
• Researching and publishing successful, replicable preservation state and local policy initiatives; and
• Providing detailed data about privately-owned, federally assisted apartment homes so that policymakers and community advocates know where affordable housing is at risk.
