- Affordable Housing Preservation Initiatives: A
State-by-State Summary.
This Working Paper is part of NHT's ongoing effort to
identify state and local level initiatives that preserve affordable,
multifamily housing. The information gathered includes preservation
initiatives related to state qualified allocation plans for low income
housing tax credits, private activity bonds with 4% low income housing tax
credits, and housing trust funds, as well as other state and local
initiatives. This is a work-in-progress and does not necessarily reflect
the depth of any one initiative or the breadth of initiatives around the
country

Legislation and Policies
- Preservation-Related Provisions of the Housing and Economic
Recovery Act . The foreclosure response package signed by the
President on 7/30/08 includes several important provisions that affect the
ability to preserve and improve existing HUD or RD assisted multifamily
rental housing.
