Meghan Westra serves as National Housing Trust's Director of Solar Development, where she helps lead NHT's sustainability program efforts that build upon a successful solar energy portfolio totaling over 10MW of built capacity across the country. 

Prior to joining NHT in March of 2024, Meghan was the Director of Green Building Verification with Jay Hall & Associates. In this role, Meghan oversaw the field testing and verification of code and above-code production, multifamily, and custom single-family homes in Maryland, DC, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. She also prepared and submitted documents for projects seeking high-performance building certifications, such as LEED, NGBS, ENERGY STAR, and EGC.

Meghan holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Michigan State University, and attended Duquesne University for her graduate studies, where she earned an MBA with a specialty in Sustainable Business Practices.
